about

Having a relationship with horses is about finding an important balance of respect, motivation, and appreciation.  Encouragement and consistency are key for both horse and rider.  Amanda has over 17 years training and teaching experience, and she works hard to bolster confidences and increase strength in both partners.

If you need help with learning to ride, furthering your skills in the saddle, trying a new discipline, or regaining old confidence after time off or a bad experience, contact Amanda to set up a free consultation.

riding lessons

Amanda got her start in the Hunter/Jumper and Dressage disciplines. She believes wholeheartedly in the fundamental benefits of a strong seat, no matter what style a rider pursues.

There are many fear issues that can be associated with horseback riding, from a rider's first time in the saddle, to the first ride after a fall. She emphasizes safety first, and takes her lessons at the client's pace.

Amanda has experience in numerous disciplines including Trail Riding, Dressage, Hunter/Jumper,  Reining, Team Roping, Sorting, and Polo.

horsemanship lessons

Amanda’s training studies began through a personal 2-year apprenticeship with Certified John Lyons trainer, Connie Hare.  In 2004, she completed her Apprenticeship Program under Ken McNabb - 2008 and 2010 Road to the Horse competitor, star of RFDTV show “Discovering the Horseman Within“, and Certified John Lyons trainer.

Throughout the years she has traveled and ridden with a variety of trainers from the East Coast to the Southwest.  As a result, she relies on a mixture of Natural, Modern, and Classic training techniques.

Amanda can help you learn to work with horses at liberty, remedy behavioral issues, and establish a closer connection with your horse.  She is a patient and encouraging teacher, who will nurture your strengths and bolster any weak points in your horsemanship skills.
